Make a silver bangle with a unique charm - half day workshop

In this half day workshop you will make an organic shaped silver bangle and design and make its charm.

Price includes the use of all tools and equipment.  This price includes enough sterling silver wire for you to make one bangle.  If you have time to make a second, you will be able to buy the silver for this on the day of the class.

What you will make:

You will make a silver bangle that has been forged (hammered) into an organic shape to fit your wrist. You will then design a charm for the bangle. This might be a textured shape which hangs from the bangle, or small rings which move round the bangle – it’s up to you! You may have time to make a second bangle - they’re great for stacking!

What you will learn:

You will learn how to measure your wrist to make sure that your finished bangle will fit.  You will then cut and solder a piece of silver wire into a rough bangle shape. Once this has been cleaned and prepared, you will then learn how to create an organic shape with the wire, by hammering it until you achieve your desired shape.

You will consider the design of the charm and the most appropriate way to achieve this. You may decide to punch out a shape and use a hammer to texture it, or you might texture using the rolling mill.
