The perfect workshop if you’ve always wanted to try metal clay (or indeed, if you’ve never heard of it!). Silver metal clay is a wonderful material that can be shaped and textured just like ceramic clay and then fired to reveal fine silver.
Price includes the use of all tools and equipment. A block of polymer clay and 7g of silver metal clay are provided, along with a necklace chain and jump rings. Extra silver metal clay will be available to buy on the day.
What you will make:
You will make a set of silver charms using precious metal clay. You can embellish these charms using stamps or different textures.
What you will learn:
You will learn about the characteristics of silver metal clay and the basic techniques which will enable you to create simple designs. These include rolling, texturing and marking, and finishing and firing. You will start by practising these techniques using polymer clay and when you feel confident you will apply them to silver metal clay.
