Silver metal clay with gemstones - full day workshop
Metal clay presents wonderful opportunities for setting stones. Explore ways of embellishing your jewellery pieces with gemstones in this one day workshop.
Use of all tools and equipment is included. A block of polymer clay and 10g of silver metal clay are provided, along with a selection of cubic zirconia gemstones. Extra silver metal clay and gemstones will be available to buy on the day.
Suitable for beginners and those who have already had some experience working with precious metal clay.
What you will make:
You will be able to choose to make various pieces, For those with less experience, you might choose to make some charms for a necklace on bangle. With more experience, you might choose to create a bezel with the metal clay and make a more substantial pendant or earrings.
What you will learn:
You will learn the basic techniques required to create jewellery using silver clay. You will be introduced to different ways of firing the clay – either by using a hand-torch or the kiln. You will learn how to set gemstones in the clay, and how to finish and polish the piece.
