The source of the inspiration for this collection of jewellery is the little town that, for the past 18 months I have been lucky enough to call home: Wirksworth, in the Derbyshire Dales.
My aim was to reflect the character of this place, full of its quirky buildings, gritty history and beautiful green backdrop in a limited collection of pieces. When I portray Wirksworth to people who don’t know it, it isn’t until I describe it as returning to a warm hug, that I feel I have done it justice. And it is this sentiment, also that I was keen to capture in this jewellery.
No two pieces are the same. And some carry a little secret… which, as you will know if you are familiar with the town, is something we never get tired of.
