The Spirit of the Town Collection

My aim was to reflect the character of this the little town of Wirksworth, in the Derbyshire Dales, and where my home and Studio now are. It's a town full of quirky buildings, gritty history and beautiful green backdrop in a limited collection of pieces.

When I portray Wirksworth to people who don’t know it, it isn’t until I describe it as returning to a warm hug, that I feel I have done it justice. And it is this sentiment, also that I was keen to capture in this jewellery.

Would you like to try jewellery making?

When you book a jewellery-making experience, you are booking a private, bespoke session. Choose to come to The Studio for a half-day or full-day and try your hand at silversmithing. 

We will discuss beforehand what you would like to make, to ensure that it's doable in the time you have. You will go home with a beautiful handmade piece.

The price of these sessions does not include the cost of the metal that you use - that will be calculated on the day according to the current price of silver.  I should be able to give you an estimate in advance.

Free teas and coffees are available on a limitless supply, and there is very usually homemade cake!

Full day workshops don't include lunch, and you are invited to bring your own. The centre of Wirksworth is only 5 minutes walk from the Studio, but I find that most people prefer to bring something so that they can make maximum use of time at the bench.
